Question: Can I triple my containment system wire to create a dead zone?

No. You can ONLY dead zone the wire from the transmitter to the boundary loop and from the boundary loop to another boundary loop ( Pools, gardens and so on ). You simply can't twist the wires anywhere you want and kill the signal as this is not possible.TOP

Question: Can lightning harm my system?

Yes, we suggest you add a Lightning and Surge unit. Some systems have no lightning warranty and others have a 1 year lightning warranty. TOP

Question: Can the containment system be placed above ground?

Yes, the containment system will operate properly above ground, be sure to take special care that the wire does not become damaged. We recommend placing the wire in the ground to save possible damage but you can lay on the surface and tack down the wire securely with some form of clips. TOP

Question: How long can my dog wear his/her receiver?

Every dog is different and wear time can vary. As long as you check the dogs neck daily to make sure it is not wearing a place on them and if so keep it clean then you should not really have a problem wearing them 24 hours a day under supervision and once they build up the neck area then a weekly check should be fine. Question: Is my collar receiver waterproof?

petgearsupply.com collar receivers are waterproof, meaning they are submersible. If a collar receiver is merely water-resistant, it is noted in the owner's guide. Most transmitters are water-resistant but not waterproof. Care should be taken to keep transmitters as dry as possible. TOP
